Open Doors Day in Elementary School „Mijat Stojanović“
Dr. Dinko Župan and dr. Stanko Andrić
On April 23rd 2015 the elementary school Mijat Stojanović in Babina Greda celebrated its School Day and 240-years anniversary of the Schools in Babina Greda with the manifestation of the Open Doors Day.
Team member dr. Dinko Župan participated at the manifestation. Together with dr. Stanko Andrić, head of the Departement for the History of Slavonia, Srijem and Baranja of the Croatian Institute of History, dr. Župan promoted the book Mijat Stojanović – Sgode i nesgode moga života (published in Slavonski Brod, 2015.) and presented the published autobiography of Mijat Stojanović (1818-1881), teacher and writer from Slavonia. Dr. Župan held a lecture on Stojanović’s biography.
The manifestation of The Days of Mijat Stojanović will be held in Babina Greda in September 2015. for the first time.
